Chartered on November 12, 2022, UAP Bulacan Singkaban is the 192nd chapter of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and the sixth UAP chapter in the province of Bulacan. Though among the youngest in the A2a chapters, initially composed of 35 charter members, UAP Bulacan Singkaban has been an active player and advocate of the architectural profession through its various programs and activities, hence recognized as an Outstanding New Chapter during the 2024 UAP National Awards.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its May 2024 CPD webinar with pre approved 1.0 credit unit (ARC-2009-01-1160) on May 18, 2024 via Zoom. This Level Up CPD series was entitled "The GREEN Deal, a Primer on Green Building Certification" with Ar. Sherina F. Realon, UAP, WELL AP, LEE GA and Ar. Patricia Angeli Cansana as the resource speakers. The webinar was attended by 89 online participants who gained new insights sustainability certifications and its benefits and potential opportunities in building design implementation. The webinar was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its April 2024 CPD webinar with pre approved 1.5 credit units (ARC-2009-01-1065) on April 27, 2024 via Zoom. This Level Up CPD series was entitled "Paradigm Shift, the Impact of the Supreme Court Ruling on the Architecture Profession in the Philippines" with Ar. Mary Kristine A. Segovia, as the resource speaker. The webinar was attended by 84 online participants who gained new insights the benefits and potential opportunities the SC decision may give to the architecture profession in the Philippines as well as in allied fields. The webinar was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban shines bright during NATCON49 held at the SMX MOA, Pasay City on April 18-21, 2024. This was a remarkable event in the history of Bulacan Singkaban, for being recognized as “Outstanding New Chapter – Group 2 Category” and Arch. Owen B. Tolentino being “Outstanding New Chapter President,” during the UAP National Awards.
From world class speakers to top caliber performing artists, indeed NATCON49 has set the bar high, with more than 8,000 delegates, making it the biggest gathering of Filipino Architects in history. It was a venue for networking among architects and industry partners further intensifying the architecture profession celebrated under the theme “Amplify,” signifying the elevation of important discussions and ideas shared to a larger and more impactful scale.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its March GMM with its first virtual game night via Zoom on March 2, 2024 entitled “GKNB mga BuSing?”. The event brought together members on an exciting evening of fun, and friendly competition. The highlight of the night was a combination of four engaging BINGO patterns using the the chapter’s initials “UBS” and four thrilling scavenger hunts, keeping participants on their toes throughout the event. GCash prizes were awarded to the 4 lucky BINGO winners and UBS sling bags to the lucky scavengers.
Beyond the games, the virtual event ensured the competitive spirit of its members balanced with a sense of community and celebration fostering a sense of unity and shared experience among the members.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its February 2024 CPD webinar with pre approved 1.0 credit units (ARC-2009-01-989) on February 17, 2024 via Zoom. This Level Up CPD series was entitled "Appreciating Landscape Architecture, Fostering Cooperation Between Architects and Landscape Architects" with L. Ar. Angelo Paulo Mogul, as the resource speaker. The webinar was attended by 100 online participants who gained new knowledge and insights on Landscape Architecture and how Architects and Landscape Architects can collaborate in various aspects of a project. The webinar was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
It was a fun filled day celebrating Chinese New Year with the boys and girls of Tahanan Mapagkalinga ni Madre Rita, Inc., a shelter dedicated to providing care and support for underprivileged children in Guiguinto, Bulacan.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban prepared a simple program of games hosted by Ar. Antonio Miguel Soriano with song and dance presentations from Ar. Liezl Jade Reyes and Ar. Noreen Mangubat creating a joyous environment of fun and laughter for the kids. The kids later on shared several production numbers showing their various talents and creativity. A heartwarming lunch was later shared alongside the children and a donation of medical supplies for their clinic was also given.
This charity event showcased the true spirit of compassion, unity, and community service. Through this simple act of sharing and building connections, it made a meaningful impact on the lives of these underprivileged children, leaving an indelible mark of hope and kindness on this special day. May this humble gesture of kindness serve as an inspiration for more charitable endeavors that uplift and enrich the lives of those in need. This was indeed a great and very rewarding way of welcoming the Lunar New Year.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its January 2024 CPD webinar with pre approved 1.5 credit units (ARC-2009-01-964) on January 27, 2024 via Zoom. This Level Up CPD series was entitled "Holy Space, Defining Spaces for Worship" with the chapter's very own Ar. Philip C. Santiago, as the resource speaker. The webinar was attended by 100 online participants who gained new knowledge and insights on Roman Catholic Church Architecture through the comprehensive lecture of Ar. Santiago. The webinar was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.

UAP Bulacan Singkaban wraps its NAW 2023 celebration with a joyous and fun night of games, camaraderie and thanksgiving. "Masaya ang Pasko ng Arkitektong Filipino NAW" was a celebation of the chapter's achievements and the early Christmas gift to all architects with the SC decision recognizing the true role of architects in the design and construction field. This was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
Embracing the spirit of giving on the feast of the Immaculate Conception, UAP Bulacan Singkaban celebrated this special day with a heartfelt tribute to the cherished elders of Tahanang Mapagpala through "Handog ni ARKI kay Lola."
Together, we transformed kindness into action! From the generous contributions of our members and officers, we were able to provide packed lunches and dinners for that day, along with essential grocery items of rice sacks, canned goods, and personal hygiene supplies, spreading warmth and joy to our beloved elderly lolas.
In the true spirit of the season, let's continue to sow seeds of love and compassion. The chapter is indeed very grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our community's elders during the National Architecture Week (NAW).
The Conservation Assessment Report for Eskwelahang Gabaldon ng Pulilan handed over to Pulilan Municipal History, Arts, Cultures and Tourism Office (MHACTO) Department Head Josef Christian Navarro.
This also marks the culmination of our impactful "One Town in One Year" partnership with the LGU of Pulilan, Bulacan. It has been a remarkable journey, a year filled with meaningful collaboration on various community-based projects, with special focus on cultural mapping and bamboo planting initiatives.
The chapter extends its deepest gratitude to the dedicated officials of Pulilan, Bulacan, most particularly the inspiring Mayor Maritz Ochoa-Montejo. Together, the partnership created a legacy that will be remembered and cherished for years to come.
Senior high school students of Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School took a glimpse into the vibrant and dynamic world of architecture through "Buhay ARKI, an Architecture Career Orientation." This gave them the opportunity to explore, learn, and envision their future in architecture.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Architects Edmar Mgsakay, Allan Alongalay and Owen Tolentino with Bulacan State University (BulSU) Architecture Students Ivie Gail dela Cruz and Mark Jhamacel Alaisa, share their firsthand experiences and valuable insights on the various aspects of pursuing architecture. They also shed light on the nuances of the architectural profession, offering guidance on what to expect and how to thrive, leading them to a rewarding career in architecture.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban players brought home additional awards for the chapter during the 2nd and last leg of the A2a Arkilympics 2023 held at the Lakewood Golf and Country Club in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on December 3, 2023, garnering the following additional spots:

UAP Bulacan Singkaban marks its first founding anniversary with great historical significance at the Casa San Francisco, Pulilan Bulacan, on November 18, 2023. Celebrated under the theme “ang Pagyabong,” it was a night of inspiration, reflection, thanksgiving and recognition, as the chapter looked back when it was just a seed that was planted with hopes and dreams, which had sprouted, taken root, and flourished in just a just.
It also had showcased the commitment, camaraderie, and dedication of the members of the UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter in fostering the development of the profession, the environment, and the community. The celebration was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban is now a certified Civil Society Organization (CSO) accredited by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan under Bulacan Provincial Resolution No. 715 s.2023. The accreditation was approved on the 41st Regular Session of the honorable 11th Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan on October 12, 2023 presided by Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban joins with other A2a Chapters in an island hopping tour at Port Barton Palawan on October 28, 2023. This was a fun filled day with water and beach activities capping the 2-day conference. The group was joined by College of Fellow Chancellor Ar. James Jao, FUAP.
Ar. Owen Tolentino and Ar. Horacio Concepcion Jr. represented the UAP Bulacan Singkaban during the National Conference of Architects (NCA) and Area Assemblies held at Astoria Palawan, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on October 26-27, 2023. Prior to this, Ar. Tolentino attended the Chapter Presidents Assembly. This was highlighted with CPD seminars and discussion on recent issues involving the profession.
Teams KABISIG, SIGASIG and MAKISIG, nag KAPIT-BISIG during the UAP Bulacan Singkaban's 2024 Program Planning and Team Building last October 14, 2023 at THE MANGO TREE Lugam, Malolos City. The 3 teams faced challenging games and trivias where at the end learn to work as a team to finish the end goal. Prior to this, the chapter had laid its monthly activities for 2024 where members were involved in the planning and suggested topics that will be more appealing to greater and younger audiences. This was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
On October 12, 2023, the chapter’s CSO accreditation with the Sangguniang Bayan ng Guiguinto has been approved on its First Reading in the Committee Hearing held at the Guiguinto Municipal Hall. The committee hearing was presided by Councilor Albert Estrella, with Committee Members Councilors Annabelle Garcia, Cornelio Ramos and Landrei Joseph Cerdon. The Chapter was represented by Arch. Owen Tolentino and Arch. Philip Santiago.
On October 10, 2023, the chapter’s CSO accreditation with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan has been approved on its First Reading in the Legislative Backstopping Committee Hearing held at the Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. Hall, Provincial Capitol Compound, Malolos City. The CSO accreditation committee hearing was presided by Vice Governor Alexis Castro, with Board Members Allan Andan, Arthur Legaspi and Romina Fermin. The Chapter was represented by Arch. Owen Tolentino and Arch. Paulette Tenorio.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter partners with UAP Bamboo Project Special Committee and UAP San Juan-Mandaluyong Chapter to hold a Bamboo Advocacy Webinar to conclude the Philippine Bamboo Month celebration. The CPD webinar with pre approved 3.5 credit units (ARC-2009-01-794) was held on September 30, 2023 via Zoom, entitled "Bamboo Reboot: Reimagining Bamboo Advocacy for Sustainable Buildings and Communities". Two esteemed resource speakers graced the webinar who were, Mr. Edgardo Manda, President of Philippine Bamboo Foundation, and Ar. Jed Michael de Guzman from Bamboo Bootcamp. The webinar was attended by 300+ online participants who gained new knowledge and inspiration to be bamboo advocates for a more sustainable future.
The early morning rain shower last September 23, 2023 was not a hindrance to the members and officers of the UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter to show its heartwarming determination and commitment to environmental conservation.
In partnership with the Municipality of Pulilan, Bulacan through its Municipal History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (MHACTO) and its Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), UAP Bulacan Singkaban collaborated with UAP Bamboo Project Special Committee, UAP Regional District A2a and other UAP chapters, namely UAP San Juan-Mandaluyong, UAP Del Pilar-Bulacan and UAP Bulacan, as well as the Bulacan Section of the Philippine Institute of Architects in a bid to promote the crucial role of bamboo in mitigating climate change, preventing soil erosion, filtering pollutants, and serving as a sustainable source of materials for various industries.
120 bamboo seedlings were planted along the picturesque Angat River in Longos, Pulilan, Bulacan. Through this humble activity, it will not only enhance the community's natural beauty but also contributes to the well-being of our planet towards a greener and healthier future.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter meet with Plaridel Municipal Vice Mayor Lorie Vinta Surio on September 12, 2023 at the Plaridel Municipal Hall to formally discuss the chapter's Civil Society Organization (CSO) accreditation in the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan hoping to a more stronger the partnership in the future.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its August 2023 CPD webinar with pre approved 1.5 credit units (ARC-2009-01-785) on August 26, 2023 via Zoom. This Level Up CPD webinar series was entitled "Level Up the Skill: Façade Lighting Fundamentals" with Ms. Jingkie Christie De Jesus Tiaoqui, President and Principal Lighting Designer of Light Plan Inc. The webinar was attended by 91 online participants who gained new knowledge and insights on how to properly light building façade exteriors through the very concise but comprehensive lecture of Ms. Tiaoqui. The webinar was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter represented by Ar. Owen Tolentino, Ar. Horacio Concepcion and Ar. Raymart Fajardo attended the RDA2a Council meeting presided by A2a District Director Ar. Francisco "Pacoy" Aniag held at the Malolos Club Royale which discussed upcoming A2a activities particularly the District Sports Fest of Architects popularly known as Arkilympics. Rain or Shine Elastomeric paint prepared a short product presentation which a Molten Basketball was raffled and won by Ar. Tolentino for the chapter.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its July 2023 CPD webinar with pre approved 1.5 credit units (ARC-2009-01-748) on July 29, 2023 via Zoom. This Level Up CPD webinar series was entitled "Level Up the Skill: Transitioning from CAD to BIM" with Mr. Arnold Sta. Rosa as the resource speaker. The webinar was attended by 69 online participants who have shown their interest with the new application called BIM or Building Information Modeling. The webinar was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter, through its incoming chapter officers, graced the 2023 RDA2a Joint Induction Ceremonies held at the BarCIE International Center Malolos City Bulacan. 10 new chapter officers attended the event. Four former A2a District Directors from the chapter were also recognized in the said event namely Ar. Ma. Saturnina Parungao, Ar. Ma. Teresa Gopez, Ar. Geronimo Lajom and Ar. Owen Tolentino.
Despite heavy rains and flooding, UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter meet with Pulilan Municipal Mayor Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo on July 17, 2023 at the Pulilan Municipal Hall to formally turn over the Cultural Mapping Documents of 14 Pulilan Built Heritage Structures. Two new partnership projects projects were discussed and approved for implementation. Another collaborative initiatives to look forward to by the chapter and Pulileños.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter, through its incoming chapter president Ar. Owen Tolentino, graced the 2023 Inaugural Ceremonies held at the Angelfields Nature Sanctuary, Silang Cavite. An Officers Orientation Course was held prior to this at the Hotel Monticello, Tagaytay City.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its second face-to-face June 2023 CPD seminar with pre approved 3.5 credit units (ARC-2009-01-726) on June 10, 2023 at Vista Mall Malolos, Malolos City, Bulacan. The CPD seminar entitled "Level Up the Practice: Business Side of Architecture" aims to provide basic entrepreneurial and management principles as applied to the practice of Architecture, as well as useful tools that will help architects develop business acumen ensuring a profitable architectural practice. These were discussed by two esteemed architects, Ar. Alberto Dumlao and Ar. Ronnie Yumang. The seminar was attended by 58 participants which was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds an exhibit that showcases the talents and skills of architects from Bulacan. The exhibit took place at Vista Mall Malolos on June 9-12,2023 which was joined by architects from other chapters such as UAP Barasoain, UAP Del Pilar Bulacan and UAP Malolos Republika.

Michaela Grabol, Ar. Gabrielle Lois Benedictos, Ar. Austin Balite, Ar. Marcos Murallos Jr. and Ar. Renzo Mari Calderon, share their experiences, insights, tips and stories when they recently took their Architecture Licensure Examination.

NATCON48 was highlighted by its innovative Brown Bag Sessions, which include the Architects in the Academe Assembly where Ar. Godesil Lejarde as harvester, Ar. Owen Tolentino as moderator and Ar. Geronimo Lajom serve as the harvester, moderator and documenter respectively for Table 6 during this assembly.
20 delegates from UAP Bulacan Singkaban actively participated during NATCON48 held at the PICC, Pasay City on April 20-22, 2023. NATCON48 was highlighted with jampacked CPD seminars, fellowship and CONNEX, UAP's Construction Expo.
Ar. Edmyrson Lipana wins the gold in billiards rotation during the National Arkilympics held at Quezon City on April 19, 2023. Ar. Lipana, representing Area A, bested among the representative from UAP 3 other areas from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban got 1 Silver and 2 Bronzes during the Area A Arkilympics held at Baguio City on April 1, 2023. Ar. Edmyrson Lipana took the silver in Billiards Rotation and will be representing Area A in the National Arkilympics on this event. Ar. Raymart Fajardo got 2 bronzes for Table Tennis Singles and Doubles. Ar. Allan Alongalay lands fourth in bowling.
Coinciding with its March 2023 CPD Seminar in Pulilan Bulacan, UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter has launched its #GETanArchitect Campaign in a mix crowd of spectators including local residents from Pulilan LGU. A video on the value of architects in building construction was played to educate the viewers of the different roles of an architect. Promotional materials and collaterals were also given to better promote the profession.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter holds its face-to-face March 2023 CPD seminar with pre approved 5.0 credit units (ARC-2009-01-623) on March 25, 2023 at the Pulilan Central School Pavilion, Pulilan Bulacan. The CPD seminar entitled "TALAPAMANA: Mapping and Documenting Built Heritage" was designed both for technical and non technical to provide a primer on cultural mapping for the Pulilan LGU. This is in preparation for the cultural mapping project for Pulilan. All four speakers, Ar. Owen Tolentino, Ar. Geronimo Lajom, Ar. Jane Anne Carlos-Manuel and Ar. Ma. Teresa Gopez, are home grown speakers from the chapter. The seminar was attended by 74 participants which was followed by the Chapter's General Membership Meeting.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter inks Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pulilan LGU represented by Pulilan Municipal Administrator Leovigildo Garcia as partners in community development and in the promotion of the architectural promotion. The Municipality of Pulilan will host the community based projects of the chapter for 2023.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter actively participated during the 2-day Area A Assembly at the Bulwagang Kanlahi Tarlac City on February 24-25, 2023. It was celebrated under the theme "Sulung Tamu" which is kapangpangan for Moving Forward. The assembly was highlighted with CPD seminars, tours and fellowships.

UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter meets with Pulilan LGU represented by Pulilan Municipal History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Officer Mr. Josef Navarro for possible partnership under the Chapter's "One Town in One Year Initiative", where the chapter looks for a host LGU to be the beneficiary and partner for its community-based projects. The meeting took place on January 13, 2023 at the Pulilan's well conserved Gabaldon Building which now houses its Municipal Trial Court and Tourism Office.
UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter celebrated Christmas with program planning for the coming calendar year and fun filled team building games. The group was divided in 5 teams represented with the color shirt they are wearing. This was held at the Malolos Club Royale on December 18, 2022.
A2a District Council headed by District Director Ar. Christopher Coronel graced the Flag Raising Activity of the Malolos City Hall on December 5, 2022 and promoted UAP's advocacy in the profession. This coincided with the National Architecture Week celebration.
Ar. Raymart Fajardo from UAP Bulacan Singkaban placed 2nd with his co-player in the Table Tennis Doubles held at JCAS Sports Center, Mabolo, Malolos City.
Together with A2a District Council headed by District Director Ar. Christopher Coronel, UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter President Ar. Owen Tolentino had a courtesy visit with Malolos City Mayor Hon. Christian Natividad on November 25, 2022, to discuss the plans and programs of the UAP Regional District A2a for the upcoming celebration of the National Architecture Week (NAW) on December 4-8, 2022.
On November 12, 2022, the UAP Bulacan Singkaban Chapter was chartered as the 192nd chapter of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP). It was celebrated under the theme "Pinagbigkis" or bound together and was graced by the National Officers of UAP headed by Ar. Richard Garcia, FUAP, PIEP, PALA who officiated the chartering ceremonies and induction of charter officers and 35 charter members. 17 new board passers were also as new members of the chapter.
